In support of the #TimesUp movement stars walked down the red carpet with white roses music executives, Roc Nation Senior VP Meg Harkins and Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records’ Karen Rait, wrote a letter to singers and attendees prior the awards ceremony. As for the reasoning of choosing a white rose, the letter stated, “We choose the white rose because historically it stands for hope, peace, sympathy and resistance,”and ended with: “The world is listening. Wear a white rose,”(E! Entertainment Television).
